Bruce Thomas Jr. Wins New England Racing Fuel Support Performer Of The Week Award

NE Racing Fuel Support Performer Award

He was the man who brought perfection to a screeching halt Saturday night at the Waterford Speedbowl.

Bruce Thomas Jr. became the first driver this year to keep Keith Rocco out of victory lane in the Late Model division at the Waterford Speedbowl.

Before Thomas’ victory Saturday, Rocco had won all five previous Late Model events at the Waterford Speedbowl this year.

And Thomas, of Groton, was voted this week’s New England Racing Fuel Support Performer Of The Week Award.

Thomas garnered 40.7 percent of the votes in this week’s poll.

Each week during the 2014 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Support Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in one of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly support divisions (excludes SK Modified divisions) at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.

Thomas will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel. The final voting results are listed below.
