WATERFORD – The total domination of the Street Stock division at the Waterford Speedbowl continued Saturday for Josh Galvin.

Galvin, of North Franklin, rolled easily to his fourth consecutive victory in Saturday’s 25-lap Street Stock feature at Waterford.

Ryan Waterman of Danielson was second and Al Stone III of Durham third.

Galvin has won five of seven events this year and has taken the checkered on the track in the last six consecutive events. He was disqualified from a victory on April 19 for shock issues.

“It isn’t easy winning one, nevermind five in a row, or four in a row,” Galvin said. “We call it the rotation domination. It’s a lot of work on the chassis that is certainly paying off. Even a couple weeks ago, we got in a wreck the first lap and banged the car up just a little bit. The car is so perfect almost that any little variation in the car, it’s scary to think that the speed could go away. But we work hard.”

Galvin went by Stone for the lead with 11 laps remaining and was never challenged again.

Asked what he could do to catch Galvin, Waterman said: “Find out what area code he’s in.”

Garrett Denton rolled to the front with 11 laps remaining and then rolled easily from there to victory in the 25-lap Mini Stock feature.

Denton, of Hope Valley, R.I., passed Ray Christian III for the lead.

Ken Cassidy Jr. of Lisbon edged Christian, of Groton, at the line for second.

Zach Thomas of New London won the 25-lap X-Car feature. Richard Nye of Stonington was second and Randy Johnston of Westerly, R.I. third.

Dave Yardley III of Berlin won the 25-lap Super X-Car feature. Mike Maskell of New London was second and Jim Boyle of East Windsor third.
