Waterford Speedbowl Racer Paul Kusheba A Finalist For PEAK Stock Car Dream Challenge

Screen Shot 2014-05-14 at 10.33.33 AMWaterford Speedbowl SK Modified division driver Paul Kusheba IV of Monroe is one of 18 finalists announced recently for the PEAK Stock Car Dream Challenge.

Kusheba will train and compete against the 18 other finalists in a three-day challenge in Charlotte, N.C. under the guidance of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series regulars Clint Bowyer, Brian Vickers, Danica Patrick and Jeff Burton and team owner Michael Waltrip.

The 18 finalists for the “Showdown In Charlotte” were chosen through various modes, including video, social media activity or competition through simulated racing.

The “Showdown In Charlotte” will take place June 9-11. Finalists will be tested for short tracks, road courses, speedway, car control, endurance racing and other elements.

The eventual winner will earn the opportunity to compete in a NASCAR K&N Pro Series event. The “Showdown In Charlotte” will be filmed for a two one-hour television shows that will premier on the Velocity channel on Aug. 2, 2014.

Kusheba, a former standout in the Legends division, is currently 17th in the standings as a rookie in the SK Modified division at the Waterford Speedbowl.
