When the Willimantic Chronicle opens their doors next Wednesday night to welcome the public in to check out their local paper, they will have a little speed helping to flavor the night for attendees.
Four local racers will take part in the Chronicle’s Open House event, which will take place Wendesday June 25 from 5-7 p.m.
Representing the state’s NASCAR Whelen All-American Series short tracks will be Waterford Speedbowl SK Light Modified driver Larry Goss of North Windham and Stafford Speedway Limited Late Model division driver Kelsey Rottino of Willimantic.
Also on hand will be POWRi Outlet Midget Series driver Lauryn Burd and local JR Honda Quarter Midget driver Hailey Desaulniers.
All the drivers will be on hand with their cars to meet fans and sign autographs.
The event will also includes tours of the Chronicle building and presses. The Chronicle is located at 1 Chronicle Road in Willimantic.
