Modified Tour Whelen All-Star Shootout Staring Lineup Announced; J.R. Bertuccio On The Pole

Whelen All-Star Race LogoLOUDON, N.H. – The South will rise to the top, the top of the field that is for the start of the inaugural NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Whelen All-Star Shootout Friday afternoon at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour regular J.R. Bertuccio of Centereach, N.Y. will lead the field to green for today’s exhibition shootout in Loudon.

A blind draw for starting positions was held for the 20 participating drivers in the event.

Bobby Santos III of Franklin, Mass., a two-time winner on the Whelen Modified Tour this year, will start second.

Ken Heagy of Calverton, N.Y., who was added to the field Friday after Eric Goodale withdrew, will start third. Donny Lia of Jericho, N.Y. will start fourth.

The remainder of the starting lineup is below.

The event is a 40-lap non-points exhibition event that will be split into two segments. There will be a partial field inversion at the halfway mark of the event.

The event will be television on Fox Sports 1 on July 20 at 2 p.m.
