STAFFORD – David Arute passed his brother Paul following a lap nine restart and cruised to his first victory of the season in the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature Friday at Stafford Motor Speedway.
“It’s very surprising,” David Arute said. “We’ve had a tough year so far. Having a tough time figuring out the car. Coming into the night in practice, I didn’t even think we could get on the podium. To get a win, that’s awesome for us. It seems like I wasn’t going to find my way back here.”
Austin Bessette of Stafford was second and Albert Saunders of Stafford third.
Dylan Menditto of Brooklyn went by Tyler Hines for the lead on lap seven and went on to victory in the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature.
Jay Goff of Stafford was second and Hines, of North Haven, third.
Frank L’Etoile scored victory in the 15-lap DARE Stock feature.
