Joey Ferrigno Wins New England Racing Fuel Support Performer Of The Week Award

The New England Racing Fuel Joey Ferrigno Support Performer of the Week Award?

Joey Ferrigno had been on fire of late in the SK Light Modified division at Stafford Motor Speedway, and that momentum has carrid to the Support Performer of the Week Award.

Ferrigno rallied from a first lap wreck to get his third victory of the season in the SK Light Modified feature Friday at Stafford.

And this week, for second time in three weeks and the third time overall this year, he won the New England Racing Fuel Support Performer of the Week Award.

Ferrigno, of East Hartford, captured 150 of the 323 votes submitted this week, to earn 46 percent of the votes between the 11 drivers nominated. Jeff Smith, who won the Late Model feature at Thompson Speedway last Wednesday, was second with 62 votes.

Each week during the 2014 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Support Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in one of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly support divisions (excludes SK Modified divisions) at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.

Ferrigno will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel. The final voting results are listed below.
