Joey Ferrigno Wins New England Racing Fuel Support Performer Of The Week Award

NE Racing Fuel Support Performer Award

Remember mid-1980’s Mike Tyson? The man that terrified everybody in boxing?

Joey Ferrigno is taking on that same type of aura when it comes to the New England Racing Fuel Support Performer of the Week Award?

Four times this year Ferrigno, of East Hartford, has been nominated for the award and four times he has won landslide victories.

Ferrigno rolled his second consecutive SK Light Modified win at Stafford Motor Speedway on Friday into another New England Racing Fuel Support Performer Award this week.

Ferrigno captured 195 of the 400 votes submitted this week, to earn 49 percent of the votes between the five drivers nominated. Michael Bennett, who won the Late Model feature at Stafford, was second in the voting with 116 votes.

Each week during the 2014 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Support Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in one of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly support divisions (excludes SK Modified divisions) at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.

Ferrigno will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel. The final voting results are listed below.
