Justin Bonsignore Leads The Way In Whelen Mod Tour Budweiser 150 Practice At Thompson

THOMPSON – In April Justin Bonsignore left Thompson Speedway as the victor of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season opening Icebreaker.

Thursday at Thompson Speedway he started the day right out in front of the field once again.

Bonsignore, of Holtsville, N.Y., led the way in Whelen Modified Tour practice Thursday for tonight’s Budweiser 150.

Bonsignore toured the .625-mile oval with a fast time of 18.750 seconds (120.000 mph).

Bonsignore has two wins in eight events this year.

Donny Lia of Jerich, N.Y. was second fastest in practice at 18.806 seconds (119.643 mph).

Bobby Santos III, who comes into the event with a series leading three victories, was third fastest in practice at 18.815 seconds (119.585 mph).

Todd Szegedy of Ridgefield, making his second appearance of the season with Rob Fuller Motorsports, was fourth fastest during the practice session (18.833 seconds, 119.471 mph).
