WATERFORD – Josh Galvin inched closer to making history at the Waterford Speedbowl Saturday.
Galvin won the 25-lap Street Stock Saturday at Waterford.
Al Stone III of Durham was second and Ed Gertsch Jr. of East Haven third.
It was the 10th victory of the season for Galvin, of Franklin.
Galvin is chasing the single season record for victories in the division, which is 11 set by Dwayne Dorr in 2006. There are seven Street Stock events remaining on the schedule this season at Waterford.
“I try no to think about it,” Galvin said. “… One more to tie it. So, we’ll just keep trying to win races and focus on keeping the car fast and doing what we can do to keep it from breaking.”
Bruce Thomas Jr. of Groton picked up his third victory of the season in the 30-lap Late Model feature.
Ryan Morgan of Mystic was second and Jason Palmer third.
Ken Cassidy Jr. of Lisbon won the 25-lap Mini Stock feature. Joe Liskiewicz of Preston was second and Garrett Denton of Hope Valley, R.I. third.
Allen Coates of Ledyard won the 25-lap New England Truck Series event. Corey Coates of Ledyard was second and Glen Noll of Monroe third.
Good job Ryan Morgan, after being away for months!
Any news on the Legends driver who was taken to the hospital on Saturday night?
