For the second week in a row the weatherman isn’t a friend of fans or competitors at the Waterford Speedbowl.
Speedbowl management announced this morning that tonight’s NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing card at the track has been cancelled because of forecasts for rain through the afternoon and evening.
Current forecasts are calling for upwards of an 80 percent chance for rain this evening.
Last week’s card at the track was also called off in the morning on Saturday.
The track returns to racing action on Sept. 20 with a seven-division racing card that includes a 50-lap national qualifying event for the Legends division and a makeup event for the NEMA Lites division, which was originally scheduled to run on Sept. 6.
Just 4 more cancellations and Chadwick will NEVER get paid. Good luck getting that $5000 from Dr. Mel, oops, I mean Terry.
Is this for real. the purse has NOT been paid to the winner of the budweiser modified nationals ??? does a driver really need to sue someone in small claims court in oder to get paid for the win??..these guys PAY to race !!!..risk wrecking expensive equipment and bodily harm …. why anyone would return to race at a track knowing they would not be paid for a big show is beyond me ..I have lost respect for any racer who would tolerate this behavior.. BOYCOTT this dump.no attack on social media????? fans and family or racers….???? I hope Chadwick gets his money.. any confirmation on this Mr Courchesne ??
Mr. Transparency: I have no heard if the purse has been paid as of yet, though I haven’t had any contact with any competitors saying it hasn’t been or that they fear it won’t be.
The word going round is that the 9/6 show was more about a lack of money rather than bad weather.
The word is it was because of the rain and he is paying so Stop bashing the owner of the track he does nice job keeping the track up and running go things to say come fine him and say it to his face he is a awesoeme guy to work with
