For the last time this racing season all three of the state’s NASCAR Whelen All-America Series tracks will be in action for one racing weekend.

The busy slate opens at Thompson Speedway on Thursday with a card featuring double featuring twin 25-lap features for the SK Modified division.

Stafford Motor Speedway hosts its Back To SKool Blitz with a six-division racing card and fireworks.

The Waterford Speedbowl also hosts a six-division racing card Saturday with the NEMA Lites in town.

Where: Thompson Speedway

When: Thursday

Schedule: 25-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified (2), 25-lap Late Model, 20-lap Limited Sportsman and 15-lap Mini Stock. Grandstands open: 3:30 p.m.; Qualifying 5:15 p.m.; Features: approximately 6 p.m.

More: The sixth event of the season at Thompson and the last of five weekly events in 2014. … In the last event at Thompson on Aug. 14, Kerry Malone drove to victory in the SK Modified feature. … Ryan Preece has won three of the six SK Modified feature events this year at Thompson.
