And now Ken Cassidy Jr. can count himself as a 2014 New England Racing Fuel Support Performer of the Week Award winner.
Like he’s done so many times on the track in the past at Waterford, Cassidy ran away from the competition in voting for the award this week.
Cassidy, the winner of the 25-lap Mini Stock feature last Saturday at the Waterford Speedbowl, garnered 341 of the 478 votes cast this week for the award, a cool 71 percent of the votes.
Ed Gertsch Jr., winner in the Street Stock feature last week at Waterford, was a distant second in voting with 63 votes (13 percent).
Each week during the 2014 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Support Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in one of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly support divisions (excludes SK Modified divisions) at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.
Cassidy will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel. The final voting results are listed below.
