New Hampshire Motor Speedway is usually a place where people go to watch cars go fast.

But for the next few weeks the focus at the track will be on some leisurely rides at the facility.

Friday the fourth annual Gift of Lights display comes to life at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon.

The display will be open daily from 4:30 pm to 9 pm until Jan. 3. During that span the event will be closed on Nov. 24, Nov. 25, Dec. 1, Dec. 2, Dec. 8, Dec. 9 and Dec. 25.

The display costs $15 Monday through Thursday and $20 on Fridays and Saturdays and holidays. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the New Hampshire Chapter of the Speedway Children’s Charities. Visitors that bring three or more non-perishable food items will receive discounts in exchange for their donation to benefit the Loudon Food Pantry.

The illuminated drive-through display stretches more than two miles around the facility with over 10,000 feed of displays and includes over 2,000,000 LED lights.
