Racing Against Cancer And Checkered Flag Indoor Karting Ready For Annual RAC 100 Karting Race

RAC 100 LogoOn Saturday, January 24th for the fifth consecutive year fans and racers will come together at Checkered Flag Indoor Karting in Haverhill, MA for the annual Racing Against Cancer 100 charity karting event. This high speed karting race has quickly become a fan favorite as it kicks off the 2015 fundraising events for Racing Against Cancer™. This event first held in 2011 generated about $500, last year it generated over $7,400 and with donations received this Saturday RAC and CFIK are hoping to achieve a 5-year combined total raised of $20,000!

The Racing Against Cancer 100 starts at 9am with practice rounds for the Adult Class and Youth Class. Following practice and the drivers meeting will be Heat Races conducted to set the field for the 100-Lap Adult and 35-Lap Youth Feature Events. Following the feature racing events will be victory lane, trophy presentation and other awards presented to participants. The event is expected to end around 3pm. Notable drivers include Hampstead, N.H. own Andy Seuss, the 2014 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Champion and last year’s winner Jason Phillips who made a last lap pass to take the RAC 100 victory. In addition to raising funds from racer entry fees, donations are also being accepted in various forms. Lap Sponsorships are being raised at $5 per lap. A Lap Board can be found by Liking the ‘Racing Against Cancer’ and ‘Racing Against Cancer 100’ Facebook Pages. Heat Race Sponsorships are also available for the 15-18 expected Heat Races; Sponsorship is $25 per Heat Race. Spots are first come, first serve and filling quickly. Various raffle items including ski passes, dinner certificates and local racing event tickets will be available. Event t-shirts and RAC merchandise & apparel will also be available on the day of the event. Admission to this event for spectators is $10.
