  1. This is great news for the WMT but it too bad the info wasn’t announced in the 3rd quarter of 2014 when most companies are deciding where to spend their 2015 marketing dollars. I’m thinking that at this point any teams picking up any benefit in sponsorships from the recently announced tv coverage will be picking up table scraps.

I understand and it’s a great thing that nbcsc is doing but its a spit in the face to the southern modified tour not showing at least two of there races without the north tour envolved. When I was doing the Hooters cup tour tv time was a great marketing tool for sponsers.

  3. Drew Johns,
By my count they are broadcasting four Southern Modified Tour events which are not combination events with the Northern Modified Tour.
Fri., Aug. 7 – Whelen Southern Modifieds at Bowman-Gray, NBCSN, 2:30 p.m. ET
Fri., Sept. 11 – Whelen Southern Modifieds at Langley, NBCSN, 2:30 p.m. ET
Thurs., Sept. 24 – Whelen Southern Modifieds at South Boston, NBCSN, 7 p.m. ET
Thurs., Oct. 15 – Whelen Southern Modifieds at Charlotte, NBCSN, 7 p.m. ET

  4. As a fan, I’m not interested if NHMS and Bristol aren’t live. NBC will be at Bristol and the fall NHMS race and we still can’t broadcast the WMT events live or at least same day?? Its like watching the Super Bowl in March. Whats the point. That said, if it helps teams land some sponsorship money I suppose there is some benefit there.

    Who’s calling these races?

  5. ^^^does it take effort for you people to find something to bitch about or does negativity just come natural? Some very appealing news, lets try to embrace it.

  6. left no name so I must be "spineless" says

When I am thirsty I will gladly take a warm glass of water half filled.

This is great news. I am stunned that so many of you are complaining. Perhaps this will result in respectable purses, and the attention will bring more cars out to the tracks.

Thanks to all those that made his happen.

  8. Why are people complaining? Everyone complained. including myself, at the lack of coverage for the tour. Now we have a networkl television station that is going to broadcast the races, delay or not, on NATIONAL TELEVISION. This is exactly what everyone wanted and your gonna complain? This is awesome. Wether it’s live or not you get to see the tour cars on tv where they should be. I don’tagree with Bristol not being live but hey I’ll see it the following week. Just can’t please some people no matter what you do.

  9. Youhavenoidea says

Well I like and agree with this but the monadnock is probably the worst show they could air, full of no racing action and green flag start to finish it is gonna make nbc double check their idea there with That which sucks but I hooe I’m wrong and it helps us all out alot

  10. This is a mixed bag in my opinion. Is limited tv coverage a plus? Yea Is no live coverage a major negative? Yea, Opinions vary but I have no interest in watching a race in which I already know what happened and who won but that’s just me. Also I don’t know about other providers but on Directtv this channel is only offered in one of the high end packages and im sure not going to pay extra so I watch a race weeks after it was run. Im sure not many people will. Personaly I would have liked to them show less practice sessions and more actual racing, who cares if they miss a few practice sessions? really its practice, but again that’s just me

  11. This is the best thing to happen to the Modifieds. I live in Florida and the only way I get to see the best race cars racing, is going to be on NBCSN. I sure others who have transferred from the modified country will agree. A week after the race is better than none at all! Thank you NBCSN.

  12. Appears nbcsn didn’t cover the race today in CT

  13. James,
None of the TV events this year are going to be broadcast live.
