Keith Rocco and Michael Bennett made it interesting early, but in the end, the King of the Racing Fuel Award reigned supreme once again.
In 2014 Joey Ferrigno was nominated for the New England Racing Fuel Support Performer of the Week Award five times and won every time, most in runaway victories.
And nothing has changed in 2015 as Ferrigno has been nominated twice and now won in runaway victories twice.
The voting was tight at the top between Ferrigno, Rocco and Bennett on Sunday and Monday, but on Tuesday Ferrigno accelerated away from the field with ease.
Ferrigno, who won the SK Light Modified feature Friday at Stafford Motor Speedway, garnered 434 of the 1,057 votes cast (41.1 percent).
Rocco, who was nominated for winning the Late Model feature Saturday at the New London-Waterford Speedway, finished second with 269 votes (25.4 percent).
Michael Bennett, who had won the New England Racing Fuel Support Performer of the Week Award twice previously this year, was third in the voting with 185 votes (17.5 percent). Bennett won the Late Model feature Friday at Stafford.
Each week during the 2015 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Support Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in one of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly support divisions (excludes SK Modified divisions) at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.
Ferrigno will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel.
