Northeast Street Stock Tour LogoThe North East Street Stock Tour will travel to Monadnock Speedway for the Christmas in July event, on July 11. The third event for the North East Street Stock Tour visits a track that has a great historical significance in the racing industry, and is known to put on some hard, clean racing. The following is a closer look at notes and numbers of the new North East Street Stock Tour (NESST) at Monadnock Speedway.

MONADNOCK SPEEDWAY NOTES:
Commonly known as “Mad Dog”, or “The Dog”, Monadnock Speedway was opened on August 13, 1971. The historic track has seen such drivers as Jimmy Spencer, Beaver Dragon, Ken Bouchard, Mike Stefanik, Reggie Ruggiero, Stub Fadden, Dave Dion, and Robbie Crouch take victories at the Winchester, NH facility. This ¼ mile, high-banked raceway yields side-by-side racing, and features two different corners on the track (turns 1+2 are different than 3+4).

DRIVER NOTES

#33 Geoff Rollins
– Third place at Seekonk Speedway, and fifth place at Speedway 51, putting him third in points, just 11 markers behind.
– Second-generation driver, can be easily recognized as having orange on his race car.
– Raced at Lee, Monadnock Speedway, Hudson International Speedway, and Star Speedway in 2014, in everything from a Hobby Stock to a Pro Stock.

#79 Patrick Tanguay
– Fourth place at Seekonk Speedway, and third place at Speedway 51, putting the Lebanon, ME driver fourth in championship points.
– Champion at Lee USA Speedway in the Hobby Stocks in 2014.
– Finished with two wins, eleven top 5’s, and fourteen top 10’s in fourteen starts, with an average feature finish of 3.69.
– Has gained the most positions in the NESST this year, from his starting position in feature events, earning a +13 in two events.

#39 Chris Douton
– Winner at Seekonk Speedway, second in points entering the event at Monadnock Speedway, just three points behind Joe Arena.
– Won the non-championship point event at Lee USA Speedway, May 17.
– Former Strictly Stock champion at New London-Waterford Speedbowl (1997, 1999).
– Former Strictly Stock champion at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (2011).
– Has one win, and two top 3’s in three starts at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in 2015.

#51 Bryan Town
– Has finished ninth at Seekonk Speedway, and Speedway 51, putting him seventh in the championship standings.
– Earned nine victories between Twin State Speedway and Monadnock Speedway, combined, in 2014.
– Former Street Stock champion at Twin State Speedway (2007).
– Rookie of the Year in the Late Model division at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, finishing third in points in 2012.

#2 Jim Boyle
– Finished eighth at Seekonk Speedway, and fourth at Speedway 51, earning him a sixth-place spot in the championship standings entering the Christmas in July event.
– 2012 Super X Car champion at New London-Waterford Speedbowl.
– Involved in charity off the track, supporting the fight against autism, and participating in a Walk for Autism at Rentschler Field (CT). This year, Boyle’s team raised over $1000 alone.

#74 Joe Arena
– Finished second at Seekonk Speedway, and won at Speedway 51, giving the Bristol, CT driver the point lead entering the event.
– Finished third in the non-championship points event at Lee USA Speedway, May 17.
– Finished second in the championship standings in 2009 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park, to Larry Barnett.

#38 Steve Kenneway
– Finished tenth at Seekonk Speedway, and eleventh at Speedway 51, putting the Lowell, MA driver eighth in points.
– Was leading at Speedway 51, before suffering a mechanical failure, taking him out of the race.
– Ran full-time at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in 2014, finishing second in the standings, with three top 5’s, and nine top 10’s.
– Champion at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in 2013.

#9 Matt Morrill
– Finished seventh at Seekonk Speedway, and sixth at Speedway 51, putting the Moultonborough, NH driver fifth in championship points.
– Track champion at Canaan Fair Speedway in 2013.
– Has raced on asphalt, dirt, and ice.

#20 David Greenslit
– Finished second in the championship standings in the Thunder Stock division at Monadnock Speedway in 2014.
– Former champion at Claremont Speedway, as well as a competitor at Thunder Road Speedbowl (VT).
– Currently sits six points behind point leader Marshall Usher in the Thunder Stock division at Monadnock.
