Two weeks in a row Al Stone III celebrated in victory lane at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl and two weeks in a row the Durham driver got some added reason to celebrate a few days later.
For the second consecutive week Stone was voted as the New England Racing Fuel Support Performer of the Week winner.
Stone, who won the 25-lap Limited Sportsman feature Saturday at the Speedbowl, garnered 225 of 428 votes cast this week (52.6 percent.
Wayne Burroughs Jr., winner of Saturday’s 50-lap Mini Stock feature at Waterford, was second in the voting with 156 votes (34.6 percent).
Each week during the 2015 racing season the New England Racing Fuel RaceDayCT Support Performer of the Week will be chosen from among drivers competing in events in one of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series weekly support divisions (excludes SK Modified divisions) at Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl.
Stone will receive a $20 certificate for race fuel from New England Racing Fuel.
