The New London-Waterford Speedbowl will host a special Thursday Night Thunder racing card on Aug. 20.
The event will include the unique X-Car Shootout presented by Coastline Fire Protection.
The X-Car Shootout event will feature a 20-20-10 segment format.
The racing card will also feature a special qualifying race for the Legends division.
The winner of the Legends feature next Thursday will earn an automatic qualifying spot into the $2,000 to win Battle of the Sound Legends event at the Speedbowl on Oct. 25.
