(Press Release from Tri-Track Open Modified Series)
The Tri Track Open Modified Series (TTOMS) is proud to announce the return of the modified series for the 2016 racing season across New England. The series provides modified race fans across the region with top notch talent and intense racing at all the venues it visits.
With the announcement of the return, the series would also like to announce that on Wednesday June 29, 2016, the modifieds will roar into the Seekonk Speedway for a 100 lap, $10,000 to win feature event.
Drivers have been battling for $10,000 on a Wednesday night in the middle of the summer over the past several years, and it has drawn both the best modified drivers and teams from across the Northeast region, as well as an excellent fan base.
The Seekonk event over the last two seasons under the Tri Track banner has seen car counts rise close to 50 cars each time. The event brings in cars from the Whelen Modified Tour, ROC Tour and Valenti Modified Racing Series, among other cars.
Though the series can only release the Seekonk Speedway date at this point, more dates are on the horizon in the near future.
“We are working on securing more dates for the 2016 season at this point,” series promoter James Schaefer said. “However, due to other series changing some of their dates and adding some shows, it’s becoming hard to find open dates that will work for everyone involved. Hopefully, we will have an idea of exactly whats going to happen in the next few weeks, so stay tuned.”
Teams interested in competing on the 2016 tour are encouraged to reach out to Schaefer via Facebook, or contact series Media Director Kyle Souza at 508-642-2033.
