Ryan Preece Scores 18th Place In XFINITY Series Action At Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Ryan Preece rallied from early-race trouble to finish 18th in Saturday’s Boyd Gaming 300 Xfinity Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The race’s first caution appeared on lap three when Preece, Corey LaJoie and Jeb Burton were involved in an incident on the frontstretch.

Preece bounced back to race as high as 17th in his Las Vegas debut.

He gained three spots in the Xfinity driver standings to 18th.

“A good run for us,” Preece said. “We got a good qualifying run and then made the car better and raced pretty well all day. We’re ready to take the next step.”

Sprint Cup driver Kyle Busch won the race, leading 199 of the 200 laps. Daniel Suarez leads the series point standings.

The next Xfinity race is March 12 at Phoenix International Raceway.

    It looked like Ryan had to adjust his line on exit when Lajoie drfted high, causing him to bounce off the safer barrier and into the 24.
