CONCORD, N.C. – Ryan Preece bounced back from an abbreviated run two weeks ago at Dover to score a 22nd-place finish in Saturday’s Hisense 4K TV 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Preece, driving the Flex Seal Chevrolet, started 26th and moved into the top 20 early in the race.

“We missed the setup just slightly on the 01 car,” said team owner Johnny Davis. “We could have gotten Ryan closer to the front. But it was another finish and another good learning day.”

JD Motorsports with Gary Keller had one of its best outings of the season. Preece’s teammates

Garrett Smithley finished 15th and Ross Chastain 17th.

Preece remained 18th in Xfinity driver points.

Denny Hamlin won the race, and Daniel Suarez is in the point lead.

The series moves on to Pocono Raceway for a June 4 race.

  3. I hope you are not betting all that money you are counting with your money machine on that prediction Jeffery!

  4. Maybe not but we must support ct racing
He is the best chance we got
I am telling you preece is talked about as a great driver in xfinity
Jeff gordan said he sees him in sprint in 2 years or less

I like Preece but he is not a great driver, talked about because he spins out on starts & restarts until this last race. He’s stayed in mid-pack of all races so far. He’s been in top 10 when he doesn’t pit while others do. The team mates he has are doing just as well as him. Maybe next year will get higher in standings but as far a win this year, don’t see it happening.
