Noah Korner Carries Four Race Win Streak Into Thompson Summer Road Race Series

(Press Release from OTB Promotions)

Midstate Development Legends LogoNoah Korner came into the 2016 Midstate Site Development (MSD) Legends Series’ season hoping to eventually challenge 2015 World Champion Shaun Buffington for race wins.

At the conclusion of the first race, he not only contended, but was in victory lane. Since then, Korner went on to win three additional races. Now, the current track record holder heads into round three of the MSD Legends Series looking to keep his win streak alive in the Summer Series opener this Sunday, June 5, at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park.

Jordan O’Brien, who will enter Sunday’s race with a new engine, currently sits second in the point standings, trailing Korner by 25 markers. O’Brien began the season with a pole and two second place finishes at the Icebreaker, Road Race Style. During the Open Wheel Weekend, he registered a third and fourth place finish, respectively.

Shaun Buffington is also expected to enter the race. The Pro Class driver is third in the hunt for the inaugural MSD Legends Series title, 18 tallies behind O’Brien. It’s been a bit of a roller coaster for Buffington so far as he has fought an ill-handling race car and overcame an engine failure on opening weekend to register two podium finishes on Open Wheel Weekend. Buffington won the inaugural Legend event on Thompson’s newly renovated 1/7-mile road course in 2015.
