STAFFORD – Rowan Pennink’s chase for a second consecutive SK Modified championship at Stafford Motor Speedway doesn’t look to be slowing anytime soon.
Pennink, of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., scored his fourth victory in 11 starts in the 40-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series SK Modified feature Friday at Stafford Motor Speedway.
Pennink extended his points lead in the division over Ted Christopher, who sits second in the standings.
“I can’t thank this team enough,” Pennink said. “We had a couple issues last week and they did an awesome job to get me a second place finish and they finish off the deal for me and gave me a car that I was able to drive straight to the front with and run away with it.”
Michael Gervais Jr. of Southbury was second and Keith Rocco of Wallingford third.
Pennink went by Rocco for second on lap 22 and two laps later went by Gervais for the lead and never trailed again.
