Ryan Preece Closes Out XFINITY Series Season With 21st At Homestead

HOMESTEAD, Fla. – Ryan Preece finished 21st Saturday in the Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway as the Xfinity Series completed its season.

Preece, driving the Mizzy Construction Chevrolet, qualified 26th and moved up to challenge the top 20. He raced as high as ninth.
“The guys gave me a good car,” said Preece, a rookie. “We raced pretty well on a fast, changing track. It’s been a pretty good year for us. We learned a lot and got some good runs in at a bunch of new tracks.”

Preece finished 17th in Xfinity Series points.

Daniel Suarez won the race and the series championship.

  1. Does Art or anyone else know Ryan’s plans for 2017? Back with Davis? Did he turn some heads running this season, and that will lead to a ride with better equipment? Back to the WMT full time?

  5. According to Jayski, the 01 with Ryan Preece, and the 4 of Ross Chastain will be returning full time next year. No decision on the 0 of Garrett Smithley (sp) as of yet
