Marquee Names On Entry List For Inaugural New England Track Showdown At NHMS

(Press Release from North East Mini Stock Tour)

Several marquee names in short track racing have filed official entries or committed to racing in the inaugural New England Short Track Showdown presented by ARBodies. The event is scheduled for June 30th-July 1st and some of the top names in Northeastern racing are making their plans to head to New Hampshire Motor Speedway to compete in it.

The Valenti Modified Racing Series has attracted one of the biggest winners in NHMS history, Ted Christopher, to the event. Christopher has won races at the Magic Mile in both the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East division and on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. He also has competed in the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series at the track.

Former VMRS champion Woody Pitkat and multi-time PASS Modified champion Andy Shaw have also entered the race. Standout Modified team owner Kevin Stuart has entered his #85 Modified into the show with a driver to be announced. A pair of drivers from outside New England will race at NHMS as well. Zane Zeiner is coming from Pennsylvania while Louisiana native and current North Carolina resident Bryan Dauzat plans to compete in the Showdown.

On the Granite State Pro Stock Series side of the race event, several notable Super Late Model drivers will join up with the GSPSS regulars to fill out the entry list. The most notable ones are young gun Derek Griffith, former PASS North and PASS National champion Ben Rowe and another of the winningest drivers in NHMS history, Eddie MacDonald. Like Ted Christopher, Eddie MacDonald has also competed in the NACSAR Monster Energy Cup Series at NHMS.

More names are expected to be added to the entry list in coming weeks. Only confirmed, and not just probable, entries are being announced for this event at this time.
