Ryan Preece Leads The Way In Whelen Modified Tour Practice At NHMS

LOUDON, N.H. – A busy weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for Ryan Preece started with a big positive Friday morning.

Preece, of Berlin, led the way in NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour practice Friday morning at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in preparation for Friday’s Whelen All-Star Shootout exhibition event and Saturday’s Eastern Propane & Oil 100.

In addition to competing in both Modified events, Preece will also start Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series event for Joe Gibbs Racing. It’s the first of two XFINITY Series events Preece will run for the powerhouse organization.

Preece toured the 1.058-mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway oval with a fast lap at 132.112 mph during the one hour and 45 minutes practice session.

Bobby Santos III of Franklin, Mass. was second during the session and Todd Szegedy of Ridgefield third.

NASCAR Monster Energy Cup regular Ryan Newman was fourth fastest during the practice.
