North East Mini Stock Tour Ready For 2018 Racing Season

(Press Release from North East Mini Stock Tour)

Trips to tracks in four different New England states will make up the 2018 North East Mini Stock Tour schedule.

The sport compact stock car series, which is presented by Twisted Tea, will contest a dozen events at nine different venues this coming season.

Many of the NEMST races are coupled with the most prestigious short track events in New England.  The series starts its season as an undercard to the PASS 300 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine on April 28th.  It is also part of the second annual New England Short Track Showdown at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on June 23rd-24th.  The NEMST will share the spotlight of the Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine on August 26th.  The tour will also be part of the prestigious Milk Bowl weekend at Thunder Road Speedbowl in Barre, Vermont on September 28th.  The 2018 season will conclude with NEMST taking part in the broad lineup of races that make up the World Series at Thompson, Connecticut’s Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park.

One race where the NEMST will not be sharing the spotlight will be the second annual Four Cylinder Nationals at Claremont Speedway on September 14th.  This race is the richest and most prestigious event on the calendar and will feature a series of qualifying heat races and a last chance race to set the field.  In 2017, nearly 40 cars attempted to qualify for the race and Glen Thomas won the main event for a payday of over $3,000.

Standalone races at Star Speedway in Epping, New Hampshire; Hudson Speedway in Hudson, New Hampshire and Speedway 51 in Groveton, New Hampshire along with second events at Claremont and Oxford are also on the schedule.

The schedule of NEMST is not the only thing about the series that represents all of the New England region.  Teams from throughout the area also come together to race on the tour.  New Hampshire’s Emerson Cayer won the 2017 NEMST championship edging out Nick Anderson of Massachusetts, Cody LeBlanc of Maine and Kodi Sabins of Vermont.

The 2018 North East Mini Stock Tour Schedule is as follows.  As is customary with any racing series, all dates or venues are subject to change.

As an added bonus for teams, a three-race mini series known as the Maine EKeys4Cars Triple Crown Series will also take place with its own point fund.  The three events that are included with that series are the April 28th race at Beech Ridge and the two Oxford races scheduled for July 14th and August 26th.

Comments

  1. No one cares about this tour. Support your weekly tracks. To many stupid touring series.

  2. Solid schedule this year! Pretty bummed out I sold my car with Thunder Road and Hudson on the schedule.
I look forward to watching the 10th anniversary season play out
