STAFFORD – Last week Jeremy Lavoie described winning three races in one season as a dream come true.

Friday the dream only continued to get better for the Windsor Locks driver.

Lavoie scored his third consecutive victory and fourth victory overall this season in the 20-lap Limited Late Model feature Friday at Stafford Motor Speedway.

“I’m still on cloud nine,” Lavoie said. “We’re riding the wave as it will take us.”

R.J. Surdell of Willington was second and Gary Patnode of Barkhamstead third.

After having to sit on the infield for the season opening event on April 28 because of mechanical issues before the start of the race, Lavoie has won four of the last five Limited Late Model events.

“We’re just going to keep fine tuning and adjusting on the car every week,” Lavoie said. “… We need to be on top of those changes and hopefully we can keep this success going.”

Siblings Alexandra and Ryan Fearn put on a show at the front of the field for much of the event, but on lap 15 Ryan Fearn made contact with his older sister on the frontstretch, sending Alexandra Fearn to the pits with damage and drawing the black flag for Ryan Fearn from officials. The penalty handed the lead to Lavoie and he ran unchallenged to the checkered.

“It kind of fell into my hands,” Lavoie said. “I’ll take that. Luck was on my side. Three in a row man, I never thought … that’s tough to do at Stafford. … It’s a big accomplishment.”

  1. That’s 2 weeks in a row Ryan has taken her out. He needs a black flag for a week!! She can win each week if he stops crashing her!! Congratulations Jeremy!! Stay away from Ryan and you have a good chance to win each week!! Shawn what’s the deal with these two?

  2. Seeing as how Alexandra is going to be gone at her job training opportunity for weeks and points are not an issue perhaps dad said have at it. Stuart frequently adds to the conversation in these threads and this is one time his reflections for the fans would be very much appreciated.

  3. Stuart’s rule as I recall: He or she who initiates first contact with their sibling is second in line to have his or her car repaired.
