Unmuffled Quickcast: Raw Emotions With Mike Christopher Jr. & Mike Christopher Sr.

STAFFORD – Emotion was heavy Friday at Stafford Motor Speedway when Mike Christopher Jr. got his first win in the track’s SK Modified division.

The 19-year old is driving this year in the cars previously campaigned by his uncle Ted Christopher, Stafford Speedway’s all-time winningest driver who was killed in a plane crash on Sept. 16, 2017.

Before the tears were flowing in victory lane, it was actually fiery emotion going on between Mike Christopher Jr. and his father.

After Mike Christopher Jr. lost the lead on lap 29 to Ryan Preece, he drove hard into the back of Preece on the frontstretch a lap later. Listen to what both had to say about the meltdown that came before the tears, and plenty more about the night and all the emotion that surrounded it.
