Unmuffled Episode 51- Special New London-Waterford Speedbowl Edition

On this special one hour and 23-minute edition of Unmuffled we take a focused look at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.

On Wednesday news broke that Speedbowl owner Bruce Bemer had been found guilty on all charges he faced in sex trafficking case in Danbury Superior Court. The news once again puts the future of the New London-Waterford Speedbowl in question. Will there be a 2019 season? Will there ever be racing there again? Questions nobody has the answers to right now.

On today’s show we’ll talk to eight people who are all tied to the Speedbowl deeply in their own ways.

We’ll have group chats first with track historian Sid DiMaggio and Modified and Late Model veteran Timmy Jordan. After that we’ll chat with longtime SK Modified competitor Rob Janovic Jr. and Al Stone III, the track’s all-time winningest Sportsman division driver. We’ll welcome the always colorful and passionate Speedbowl veteran brothers Shawn Monahan & Diego Monahan. And we’ll close out chatting with the track’s reigning SK Modified champion Kyle James with the track’s all-time winningest driver Keith Rocco.
