Max McLaughlin is wasting no time trying to get acclimated to Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park.

The Mooresville, North Carolina, driver will make his first NASCAR K&N Pro Series East start at the .625-mile oval on Saturday, June 15, when the Thompson 100 takes the green flag.

But, prior to the K&N East race, McLaughlin is going to take some laps at Thompson in quite the ride. He will pilot a Sunoco Modified out of the Keith Rocco Racing stable on Wednesday, June 5, when the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series division returns to action for their third race of the season.

Rocco has seven Sunoco Modified titles at Thompson. He also won the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Division I National Championship in 2010, and won the opener, and finished second in the first two Thompson races this year.

McLaughlin has four K&N Pro Series East starts this season driving for defending Gander Outdoor Truck Series champions Hattori racing. In twin 100 lap races at South Boston Speedway, McLaughlin finished third in both.

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series star Ryan Preece will also run the race on June 5, in his return to New England Modified racing.
