Racing Action to Remain on Memorial Day Weekend at Claremont
The Tri-Track Open Modified Series (TTOMS) recently announced a change to the opening event of the 2019 season.
While remaining over the holiday weekend, the second annual Claremont 100, originally scheduled for Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, will now be run on Sunday, May 26 at Claremont Speedway in Claremont, NH.
“Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to move opening day for the Series,” said Managing Director Wayne Darling. “We expect the same great racing action from a strong and competitive field of cars.”
The purse for the Claremont 100 is over $50,000 with $7,000 to win, $1,200 to start and at least $500 to non-qualifiers.
The 100-lap main event for the ground-pounding Modifieds will also feature round one of the Ron Bouchard’s Auto Stores Challenge Cup. The rain date for the event will be Memorial Day, Monday, May 27.
TTOMS management is in discussions with local track ownership on a special weekend promotion for race fans. Complete details will be forthcoming.
The Claremont 100 is the first of a six-race schedule for the series that includes dates at Star, Seekonk, Oxford Plains and Monadnock Speedways. To learn more, visit TriTrackMods.com or find the series on Facebook and Twitter.

One could actually go to Thunder Road in the afternoon for the the PASS series 150 and weekly late model 100 during the afternoon then hit Claremont at night. Might actually try it.
36 entries so far: my guess is 4 heats (5 get in), a 16 car consi (5 get in), an 11 car B main (1 gets in), and then the feature. VERY COOL!!
MRS just cancelled their July 27 show. No more conflict with TTOMS. Point to Star/ TTOMS. It should have never been scheduled like that to begin with. Another lost show for MRS.
