THOMPSON – Jimmy Hebert passed Ryan Kuhn for the lead on lap 67 and never trailed again on the way to victory in the 75-lap American-Canadian Tour feature Saturday at Thompson Speedway.

It was the first career victory at Thompson Speedway for Hebert, of Williamstown, Vt. Hebert earned a $5000 payday for the victory in the second round of the ACT’s Summer Kickoff Series.

Woody Pitkat of Stafford was second and Bryan Kruczek of Newmarket, N.H. third.

Hebert started on the pole but surrendered the lead to Kuhn early in the event. It began a lead swapping between the two that would last much of the event.

In the late stretched Kruczek was able to overtake Kuhn for second with Pitkat following to third. Hebert left the field behind as Pitkat and Kruczek battled for the runner-up spot to the checkered flag.
