STAFFORD – On May 11 Matthew Clement scored his first career victory in the Limited Late Model division at Stafford.
Now it seems Clement doesn’t want to stop winning.
Clement, of Wethersfield, got his third victory in seven starts in 2019 in the 15-lap Limited Late Model feature.
“I couldn’t dream of this,” Clement said. “I told my dad this week I’d get him a cheap Father’s Day gift with a plastic trophy. I was able to deliver on that.”
Clement also won on May 24.
Alexandra Fearn of East Longmeadow, Mass. was second and Gary Patnode of Barkhamstead third.
Zack Robinson of Putnam has found his groove in the Street Stock division.
Robinson scored his second consecutive win and third victory in the last five events in the 20-lap Street Stock feature.

“This car is just amazing,” Robinson said. “It’s been right there every week right from the start. I think we finally got the bugs out of it.”
George Bessette Jr. of Danbury was second and Travis Hydar of Woodbury third.
Robinson took the lead from Hydar on lap six and went unchallenged the rest of the way, checking out from the field after a lap 10 restart.

Geeze Nicole, what the heck was that. You must be nauseous you spun around so much. Maybe it’t the new engine. More power, harder to make it stick. Megan turned as well. Very unusual for her.
Not a fan of Hydar. Too much with the front bumper. his foul mouth last week being interviewed and usually cranky at his best. Definitely an old school racer from an interview standpoint. Saying exactly what he’s thinking without regard to who is listening or even caring who’s listening.
Good luck to the rest of the field trying to handle Robinson. He’s definitely back in pre suspension form.
Did they pull everyone’s motor out of the car in tech or just Robinson’s ?
