STAFFORD – Bryan Narducci is a child of Stafford Motor Speedway.
With a family embedded in short track racing locally, the teenager has grown up in the pits at Stafford Speedway.
And growing up at Stafford meant watching the late Ted Christopher win a lot of races.
For Narducci – like so many other young drivers in Modified racing in the Northeast – Christopher was an idol.
Friday at Stafford Speedway – with Christopher being memorialized with the special TC 13 SK Modified Shootout – it was Narducci using late drama like “The King” was so famous for to grab victory.
Narducci used a last lap pass of Mikey Flynn to win the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature Friday at Stafford.
It was the second consecutive victory for Narducci and his fourth overall this season at Stafford.
Wesley Prucker of Stafford was second and Mikey Flynn of Hampden, Mass. third.
Narducci used a diving move under Flynn into turn one to snare the lead away on the final lap.
“It’s great to win on TC Night,” Narducci said. “He was my idol and I think I just made him proud by doing that.”
Congrats to Brian, and the #01 team on your win. It was entertaining watching you pick your way through the field all race long. Great job.
