(Press release from The Bullring Bash)
Casey Call got the Bullring Bash Quarter Mile Challenge presented by RaceChoice started with a bang, winning the 35-lap MSD Legends feature at White Mountain Motorsports Park.
With the win, Call pocketed $1,500.
“I was worried about Luke LeBrun,” Call said in victory lane. “That kid’s fast wherever he goes. He runs with me all the time… We started to check out a little bit, then those cautions, those were really getting me.”
In second was Brandon Martinez, followed by Luke Lebrun, Eric Lebrun, and Jack Walker. Sixth was Mason Levesque, and Devin Dehshaies, Kyle Rogers, Shiliegh Martinez, and Kevin Oliver rounded out the top-10.
Call started on the pole with Luke LeBrun alongside. Call led the opening lap and pulled away with LeBrun close behind. Lebrun remained close, but Peter Bennett closed in to make it a three-way battle for the lead. After taking second, Bennett closed in on Call.
Despite having to fend off all comers on several late-race restarts, Call was able to pull off the victory, timing restart after restart perfectly. Bennett made one final charge at the win, but it wasn’t enough. With two laps to go, Bennett spun while trying to dive under Call, allowing Call to cruise to victory.
