Sucks having to fork over 50 bucks for a GA ticket. But the place will be packed and the prices will just keep going up.

Hillary, that’s one of my biggest pet peeves in Mod racing, Thompson HAS ALWAYS charged more than any other track and $50 for a 1 day show is just ridiculous, please don’t give me the price of a Red Sox or Concert ticket to compare, I will be there because I love Thompson and Mods but this will be my 1 Visit this year and it took some thinking, it will be interesting to see what 2020 brings with the WMT and Thompson and SUNDAY racing, I would preferred Saturday WMT races at Thompson during the summer.

  3. Crazy in NY says

Simple really. They charge 50 because people will pay 50. Supply and demand at work as it should be.

  4. Fast Eddie says

If you can only go to one race at Thompson, wait for the World Series; more for your money on Sunday.

  5. Hillary 2020 says

I have no problem paying $55 for the 3 day epic event of the world series. I have a big problem paying $50 for this Wednesday but stupidly I probably will.

Never said I COULD only go to 1 race, I Choose to go to only 1 race at Thompson, I love modifieds and have NO interest in sitting thru 16 divisions of cars , I don’t mind 3 or 4 local divisions on a card NOT 15 and I don’t go to the track to consume 38 beers daily, Add that to the management and concession changes Thompson has made also leads to my choice, I have always taken the 2 weeks off for vacation in June and August for the WMT races and attend the Icebreaker as well but since greed has taken over The Hoenig’s choices more every year, I have to make mine as well. and please don’t go to the Track s there to make Money defense, I get that and have since the 70’s, I don’t think Thompson is hurting funds wise.

  7. They’re streaming the race, the ticket price is a budget buster and a good crowd it probably going to show. Kind of shows the strength of the NWMT doesn’t it?
