The ARCA Menards Series East and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will resume their 2020 seasons and fans can watch the races live on TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold.
- The ARCA Menards Series East will run its second race of the season with the Herr’s Potato Chips 200 presented by Federated Car Care at Toledo Speedway on Saturday, June 13 at 6 p.m. ET.
- The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will open its season with the Wade Cole Memorial 133 presented by Dunleavy’s Truck and Trailer Repair at Jennerstown Speedway on Sunday, June 21 at 2:30 p.m.
Both races will be run without fans, but the live race broadcast on TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold will be free for both events.
The ARCA Menards Series East race from Toledo will also air on NBCSN on Thursday, June 18 at 3 p.m. The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour opener from Jennerstown will air on NBCSN on Friday, June 26 at 12 a.m.
In addition, fans can catch up on the ARCA Menards season by watching the first four races free on TrackPass. The service also hosts the 2019 Whelen Modified Tour season and nearly 50 long-form documentaries on NASCAR’s biggest stars, venues and stories.
TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold is available on desktop web browsers and via the NBC Sports app on iOS and Android phones and tablets, Apple TV (Gen 4), Roku, Amazon Fire TV, AndroidTV, Xfinity X1, Xfinity Flex and Chromecast devices connected via HDMI.

I used to think Dareal was a bonehead, especially when it came to racing. Then I learned to read his writing through his train of thought, and that she ha moment hit. Dareal does some good research here, bringing up overlooked points.

Yes, the NBC Sports Gold Trackpass package is a subscription, but for this event it will be broadcast free.

Yes Shawn, I am aware that there is a free trial until 6/30. But IMO, you can’t say you support the modifieds, and get a free race, and then decide i’m not gonna watch the rest of the series because it cost me a few bucks. Be in it from the beginning, or don’t watch at all. Just my opinion.

I have relatives in middle Pencilvania. I’ve been to Alabama a couple times. You are unarmed and in big trouble again.
On one of my trips into Alabama, I learned about a tradition where the residents line the streets in their lawn chairs to watch the traffic go by and listen to the tarantulas get crunched by the passing cars. Not kidding. Let me tell you, those tarantulas can get big, VERY BIG.
Middle Pencilvania… just scary, think Deliverance. The collapse of steel and mining has left it in bad shape. Educations were not needed for mining. They have very little to hope for.
Alabama and middle Pencilvania are loaded with massively uneducated and easily led people. They are and have been desperate and will follow anyone that gives them the slightest attention, after all, they have nothing to lose. Sound familiar?
On one of my trips into the heartland of Pencilvania, it was a family reunion, so there were plenty of us making the trek, we were amazed 😯 by the signs we saw. Ample and large signs warning ⚠️ to watch out for drunk drivers. I’ve never seen that anywhere else. Watch for deer, moose, wildlife, but never drunk drivers. A region of massive destitution, what is often seen and expected when local industries collapse. In the once thriving city of Bethlehem, PA, home to what was the US steel industry, the largest employers are the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Unemployment office. With the the recent development of the casinos, (the steel mills were converted to casinos) perhaps that has changed, but before the casinos, it was a city that lost its luster and was destitute for decades. The decline was a theme in a Billy Joel song the tcaame out in 1982 about Allentown, adjacent to Bethlehem. Go through Allentown and Bethlehem, and you can see the once grand buildings, now empty shells of what they once were.
Read Hillbilly Elligy, a book about life in Ohio, not much different than middle Pencilvania. knuckles, you know what a book is, don’t you?

I didn’t make any assumptions. It’s not bigotry, it’s pointing out the failure of the Government to educate and develop a productive workforce. And that begins with schools, which the GOP does all they can to defund. And that results in woefully deficient workforces that are at the mercy of capitalism. That’s how we end up with middle Pencilvania. Without an education, the masses are relegated to low skilled, low paying, menial labor jobs… if they are lucky.
You know what would be cool? Like, dislikes and muting. I’m guessing it’s been considered and rejected or the version of Word Press doesn’t allow add ons for such things. Nonetheless there is a case for each.
Hundreds of folks check in for stories as the polling shows. Most if they read comments don’t want to get involved in the sewer it can become. They may feel empowered by being able to express their feelings with up and down arrows without getting attacked in the process. Arrows would also give those making comments feedback they could use to moderate the things that are overwhelmingly unpopular.
Muting can be good to. You can try to skip past the people you have no regard for but we all know that’s difficult. Then you see your screen ID or get incensed by some outrageous comments and the cycle of taunts and insults becomes self perpetuating. Muting would stop a lot of that.
Just a thought.

You guys see Ace Speedway called Saturday nights racing a “protest” in order to skirt the Governor’s no crowds order?? Very interesting. They may not be the only track to try this. The fact that the governor’s are endorsing large peaceful protests while banning other crowd gatherings is going to come to a head this week. If you are keeping score, Ace 3 and the NC government 0.
Gotta say that pretty much sums up the challenge. Comparing a race track in North Carolina with a historic, grass roots fundamental change in American society that is nation wide. Implying some kind of equivalency between fundamental rights as citizens with the right to go to a race track in a national crises. It will be an uphill struggle.

RACE PROCEDURE
The MOROCCO WELDING – WADE COLE MEMORIAL “133” presented by DUNLEAVY’S TRUCK and TRAILER REPAIR is to be run in two segments. There will be a five (5) minute break at or near the conclusion of lap 70. Once the yellow flag is displayed at the start/finish line for the break, the caution vehicle will pick up the field. The “Free Pass” car will be moved past the caution vehicle to the outside. Once the field is under control, the caution vehicle will lead the field on to pit road to your assigned pit stall. No work is to be performed at the break until advised by NASCAR Officials. All participants in the event will be allowed to make changes that would normally occur during a routine pit stop. DO NOT REMOVE BODY PANELS. In NASCAR’s judgment, any unauthorized adjustments that are performed may be assessed a penalty. A maximum of five (5) uniformed crew members in the car servicing area. The time will start when the last car stops on pit road and the NASCAR Official advises work can begin. Teams will be allowed to change all four (4) tires and add fuel. Change tires can only be utilized during the break. Fuel cannot be added at the same time that tires are being changed. Teams must use a dry break system while adding fuel during the race on pit road. During the break if TV approaches your car please lower your window net, stay in the car. At the three (3) minute mark, start moving your car to the track behind the caution vehicle. The caution vehicle will roll at the five (5) minute mark and any
