Jon McKennedy On The Pole For Whelen Modified Tour Return To White Mountain Motorsports Park

Jon McKennedy will lead from the point for the second time in his NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour career.

The Chelmsford, Massachusetts, driver picked up the Mayhew Tools Dominator Pole Award in Saturday qualifying for the evening’s White Mountain 200 at White Mountain Motorsports Park.

McKennedy piloted the No. 7 Ultra Wheel Chevrolet around the quarter-mile in 11.506 seconds (78.220 mph). His previous pole award came at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in July of 2019, where he finished fourth.

Chris Pasteryak qualified second at 11.521 (78.118), followed by Patrick Emerling at 11.556 (77.882).

Ron Silk will start fourth and Doug Coby fifth.

Eric Goodale qualified sixth, followed by Woody Pitkat. Championship points leader Justin Bonsignore, looking for his third straight win to start the season, qualified eighth. Sam Rameau and Dave Sapienza rounded out the top 10.

The White Mountain Showdown 200 will stream live on TrackPass on NBC Gold at 7 p.m.
