An already busy weekend at the Sunoco World Series at Thompson Speedway is now super busy for Ronnie Williams.

Williams will make his ISMA SuperModified debut in the division’s 50-lap feature Sunday at Thompson Speedway.

Williams will run as a teammate to Anthony Nocella with the Lane Racing team, which is owned by ISMA president Howie Lane.

“I’m really looking forward to getting a shot to see what I can do in one or these cars,” Williams said. “[Modified team owner Gary Casella] had been telling me he could get me a SuperModified ride if I really wanted to for a while and can’t thank him enough for all he’s done for me up to this point and then mentioning my name for the ride. It will be a busy weekend at Thompson and I’m really looking forward to it.”

Lane Racing had announced last week that 6-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Doug Coby would team with Nocella, but issues arose necessitating the lineup change.

Williams, of Tolland, will run four features at Thompson between Saturday and Sunday.

He will compete in Saturday’s 75-lap Budweiser Modified Open show for Casella. He will run Sunday’s Whelen Modified Tour Sunoco World Series 150 and the 30-lap Sunoco Modified SK Modified feature for Skowyra Motorsports.
