STAFFORD – It was a brotherly battle at the front of the SK Light Modified field Saturday at Stafford Speedway.

In the end it was 15-year old Tyler Chapman holding off his 17-year old brother Steven Chapman to win the 25-lap SK Light Modified feature at Stafford.

It was the first career SK Light Modified victory at Stafford for Tyler Chapman, of Ellington.

Steven Chapman of Ellington ended up second and Brian Sullivan of South Windsor was third.

Frank L’Etoile Jr. held off the charges of Adrien Paradis III coming out of the final corner and won the 25-lap Street Stock feature.

It was the second consecutive win in the division for L’Etoile, of Wethersfield.

Paradis, of Plainville, was second and Travis Hydar of Woodbury third.

  1. Congratulations to the racing Chapman family

  2. Tyler was running scary fast times at the Speedbowl today. Race Monitor shows that in the feature today he ran times as fast as Rocco and other top 5ver’s in the SK Mod feature. The next superstar…?

  3. Congrats to the Chapmans. A 1st and 2nd place finish and according to lap times on Race monitor they recorded the fastest times in the feature only Steve beat Tyler for fast lap . For those of us who werent able to attend. How did Meghan Fuller look in the SK lights. I see she finished 14th and on the lead lap. Not a bad debut for what I believe was her first time out in an SK light.

It was funny today during interviews, Bloxsom called Jason, Tyler and then said, “I don’t know which one he is, there’s too many” 😂

  5. Congrats to Tyler Chapman on your first SK Lite win. Winning over older brother Steven gives you bragging rights at home as well. Where did Megan Fuller end up?

  6. Rich – that was Jason at the Bowl, not Tyler:)

Yeah Rich, get your Chapman’s straight buddy. Add into the mix you got a Tyler Chapman that runs a truck and late model at Waterford. Mass confusion.

  8. I think meg did ok ,she stayed out of trouble and didn’t cause any trouble but I think we all knew that would be the case , she seemed to look better in feature than in her heat , think Ben said she had 6th fastest time in lite practice. She also practiced one day during week. She was pretty quick , passing seemed to be a problem but that will come after a few races

  9. Sorry I mixed up the Chapman’s in my comment about the SK lite feature at the Bowl yesterday. I was just surprised that he ran a 14.6 in the SK lite feature according to race monitor and that was the same fast time as Keith R, Todd Owen, and the other podium finishers in the SK feature. Seems that young man has more talent than anyone driving yesterday. Somebody should be putting him a tour car at the very least.
