Cash Back Reward: Stafford Offering Big Payday For TickMike.com SK Mod All-Star Showdown

STAFFORD – The showcase of Saturday June 12 at Stafford Speedway will be the debut of the Superstar Racing Experience.

But the sideshow that night for the local stars will mean big money for Stafford’s top SK Modified drivers.

As part of the racing card on June 12 the track will host the TickMike.com All-Star Showdown for the SK Modified division. The top-15 drivers in the standings will be invited to the race, which will feature a $40,000 purse. Every driver in the field will get $2,000 to start.

“We wanted to reward our weekly competitors and this is the perfect event and format to do it,” Stafford Speedway chief operating officer Paul Arute said.

Tom Fox, the Director of Racing Operations & Competition at Stafford, announced the details of the purse at the track driver’s meeting Friday.

“It’s incredible,” Stafford Speedway SK Modified regular Todd Owen said. “Nowhere in the country can you find that. I was shocked. It’s like a bonus just because you race here. You can’t find a race track in the country that would do that. It’s a pretty cool deal.”

The event will feature a 20-20-10 segmented format. Further details about the event will be announced next week.

“It’s pretty crazy,” SK Modified division regular Keith Rocco said. “They’re certainly going above and beyond the rest as far as drawing cars and getting people here. The whole Arute family, especially [Paul Arute and David Arute], are up on the times. They know what puts people in the stands and what puts cars in the pits.”

Can’t wait for all the festivities surrounding SRX. Next problem for the Arute’s is where to park all those campers that show up! Going to be a festival type atmosphere Friday and Saturday night for sure. A must attend weekend for sure
