Friday Night Racing Program At Stafford Speedway Cancelled


Stafford Motor Speedway officials announced this morning that tonight’s racing card at the track has been cancelled due to weather.

The local forecast calls for nearly a 100 percent chance of showers on Friday evening in the Stafford area.

Stafford Speedway returns to action on Friday June 4 with their Kids Night Weekly Racing Series program. That card will showcase features for the SK Modified, Late Model, SK Light Modified, Limited Late Model and Street Stock divisions.

Any tickets sold for tonight’s now cancelled event will be honored on Friday June 4.

Tickets for June 4th are priced at $20.00 for adult general admission tickets with all kids 14 & under admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Reserved seating is priced at $25.00 for all ages.

  1. Four weeks and a rain out, like it. If Mother Nature sees fit to impose her will several times during a long grueling season it’s a good thing. Gives teams a break to relax, take a breath, save a buck or perhaps fix a car up to get it back in competition. 2018 & 2019 were extraordinary for the low number of rain outs.

  2. IMO each Division should get 2 weeks of a year built into the season, this way teams can plan family vacations/events… one July and one in August. Waterford always closed on Sailfest weekend. Just sucks it’s Memorial Day Weekend that it’s rainy and cold

  3. Waterford will probably fall to rain tomorrow night as well. First race of the fast five will have to be rescheduled.
