Comments

  1. Are we gonna do a pick here?

If so, Commissioner, since this is an Open event, will there be any special rules?

  2. Weather looks like it will not be a factor, a robust field of cars and the promise for unexpected finishes. I don’t know if Jake was planning to put this on the list for his PICK”EM POOL but I cordially invite any who wish to pick this race. I’ll be scoring it based on my Poor Man’s Top 5 as well as the PICK”EM POOL if Jake does not score it himself. For the Poor Man’s Top 5 I offer a unique twist as the tie breaker if you care to try your luck. That would be picking one driver in the SK Light race. Highest finishing driver and person that picked him or her wins.
Unlike the NWMT races and Tri Track the field of possible top 5 candidates is considerably broader testing every fans abilities to the limit. CSG has had exceptional success prioritizing finishers correctly, Eddie knows Stafford well and while it might not be Suitcase Jakes nor Earl’s home turf it’s a chance to show what an invader can teach the home boys. Plus there are all the Stafford first guys like Elect that hopefully will consider testing their inside the paddock knowledge of Stafford.
That said my picks are Preece, Dowling, Williams, Emerling and Galko. No dark horse selection.
Minimum number of entrants will be 4 to run the scoring. Hope you will consider joining.

  3. Fast Eddie says

    I’m in! 1) McKennedy 2) Dowling 3) Galko 4) Kopcik 5) Preece – Wild card/Dark horse: Todd Owen
    SK Light pick: Derek Debbis

  4. where is Rocco ??

  5. Is Mckennedy really going?

  6. Yeah I was surprised to see Rocco hasnt filed an entry for this one. You have to think his stable of SK’s running weekly might be the reason. There is only so much time to prep cars. He will certainly be missed Friday if he isnt running a tour type.

  7. I would like to do some picks , is there an entry roster available ??

  8. Fast Eddie says

The Stafford site usually shows who is entered.

  12. i’m pretty sure Christopher jr is not running the open on Friday

  13. Race at Stafford

    Jake—-Dowling, Preece, Christopher, McKennedy,Lutz—–Paules—Bessette

    Notes:
-McKennedy is not on the Stafford registration list. I have him in only one Stafford open which was last August driving the 21.
-Steve’s right Christopher and the 7ny have been removed from the registered car list and some have been added
-Rufrano did win a Stafford open and as I understand it under the current iteration of the “Wild Card” rules is technically not eligible.

Please feel free to change your picks at any time. Emerling is out so I substituted Cipriano in my list. Change if from the ground up if you like I’ll track it.

Not much of a contest as CSG and Eddie elected not to update their picks.
Nice call by Suitcase Jake who garners the top points category. In the end it’s a tie and I luck out in the tie breaker as the Bassette gets gathered up in a jingle not of his doing and Fuller has the stronger finish simply finishing in 10th.
