Riverhead Raceway Calls Off Saturday Event Due To Weather

(Press Release from Riverhead Raceway)

With a dismal forecast for Saturday July 3rd on Long Island that called for a 80% chance of rain and cooler than normal temperatures thanks to a wind forecast to come out of the East Riverhead Raceway made a mid afternoon decision Friday to rain out the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program.

The event was to commemorate the 71st Year Anniversary of the quarter mile oval.

The Fireworks spectacular, Kids Big Wheel Race and the 4/6-Cylinder Demolition Derby that were to take place before weather interrupted over the holiday weekend will now shift to next Saturday joining the regularly scheduled race card. The 8-Cylinder Demolition Derby set for Saturday has been canceled to allow for the 4/6-Cylinder Demo.
