Sam Rameau and the Rameau Family Motorsports team are heading to New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend with one goal in mind: winning. Rameau will drive the No. 06 Central Mass Tree machine in Saturday’s NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Whelen 100, one of the most anticipated races of the year on the Modified calendar.

The race often produces tight packs, a drafting style of action, and a thrilling finish that keeps fans on the edge of their seats as part of a full weekend of racing at the 1.058-mile oval. It will be the second Whelen Modified Tour start of the season for Rameau, who is hoping to be in the right position late in the race and have a chance to win.

“We’re definitely not in the points battle, so we’re going there with the mindset of winning and doing all we can to get the win in what I consider the most prestigious race of the year,” Rameau said. “This one is the hardest to win on the schedule. We are fully prepared and ready to face whatever we have to face in order to try and win. Loudon is a different animal. It was nothing I was used to dealing with before… I’m ready for some drafting and superspeedway style racing. This is a huge race for my team.”

In three previous NASCAR Modified starts at the ‘Magic Mile’ of New Hampshire, Rameau has a career best finish of 12th. In the Open Modified race at New Hampshire earlier this year, Rameau finished inside the top-10.

Saturday’s race day schedule includes one practice session from 10-11 a.m., followed by Mayhew Tools pole qualifying at 11:30 a.m. The green flag for the Whelen 100 is set to drop at 12:45 p.m., with the race airing to a live audience on NBC Sports Gold through TrackPass. Tickets will also be available at the gate for anyone who wants to head out to the track and watch the action in person.
