Earlier this year Nickolas Hovey cracked victory lane for the first time in a Street Stock at Stafford Motor Speedway.

Wednesday the Chaplin driver added another track to his victory lane visit resume.

Hovey checked out from the field to easily win in the 20-lap Limited Sportsman feature Wednesday at Thompson Speedway.

It was the first career Limited Sportsman victory at Thompson for Hovey.

While Hovey had checked out from the rear of the field, the battle for runner-up proved wild. Scott Sundeen, Corey Fanning and Brent Gleason came off turn four in a three-wide battle for second. After some wild contact coming to the checkered it was Sundeen, of Douglas, Mass., getting second and Fanning, of Mapleville, R.I. finishing third.

Ryan Morgan of Mystic topped the field in the 25-lap Late Model feature. Woody Pitkat of Stafford was second and Mark Jenison of Warwick, R.I. third.

Anthony Bello of Newtown left the competition deep behind in winning the 20-lap SK Light Modified feature.

John O’Sullivan of Salem was second and Nathan Pytko of Douglas, Mass. third.

Jared Roy of Sterling was victorious in the 15-lap Mini Stock feature. Russ Barboza of Griswold was second and Dave Trudeau of Mansfield third.
