RaceDayCT previously reported the SRX Series would make its return to Stafford on July 2, 2022. Stafford sits third on the schedule expected to be announced officially later today by the SRX Series.
Stafford and Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway are the only tracks returning to the schedule from last yearβs six-race slate.
The 2022 schedule will kick off on June 18 at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Fla. From there the series will visit South Boston (Va.) Speedway on June 25. Stafford comes next on July 2. The series returns to Nashville Fairgrounds on July 9. On July 16 the series heads to I-55 Speedway in Pevely, Mo. The season closes out on July 23 at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Oh.
More details are expected later today on the broadcast plans for 2022 for the series.
Stafford Speedway hosted the first event of the SRX Series in 2021. Former track champion and six-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Doug Coby won the event, which played to a packed grandstand of about 10,000 people at Stafford on June 12, 2021.
Cool beans
Understandable…. Stafford was the only sellout, and Nashville is the center of the world right now.
